I am a multimedia artist working between Berlin and Italy. I focus on textile practices as main medium. My work sees the artist as an ecologist, someone who is able to actively interact with the fabric of society, bringing positive change and regeneration. In my research, I focus on different textile techniques and research about their history, their impact, and the various ways humans interacted with them over time. The research serves as the ground for the creation of installations that, through durational performances, invite viewers to actively participate in them. In my practice, I investigate ways in which art can help preserve ancient crafts and reintroduce them in the contemporary art context.
I also work as a costume and stage designer. In 2015, I moved to Germany and after working in fashion, I became interested in performing arts. At the Schaubühne Berlin, I gained my first experience in Theater and assisted e.g. Lilja Rupprecht and Anne-Cécile Vandalem. After the costume design for the movie Apollo & Artemisia by Savio de Bernardis, I worked as a resident assistant at the Kassel State Theater 2020/2022. Since then, I have worked internationally as a freelance designer, collaborating with Candela Capitàn, Kristel Van Issum, Deva Schubet, Silvia Costa, Lars Ole-Walburg, Christiane Pole, and others.
